Zverev Calls for Fairer Prize Money Distribution in Tennis Amidst Low Revenue Sharing Rates

The second-ranked tennis player in the world, German athlete **[Alexander Zverev](https://example.com/tags/21996-aleksandr-zverev/)**, shared his thoughts on the players’ demand for increased prize money at Grand Slam tournaments.

«Seventeen percent of the revenue is redistributed among the players. I won’t go into details, as there’s still a lot of work to be done. It would be beneficial for the players to select one or two representatives to meet with the officials of the Grand Slam events to seek a solution.

We’re not asking for 50% like in American sports. However, it’s well-known that we have the lowest revenue redistribution compared to all professional sports at the highest levels. Achieving a fairer income distribution would be advantageous, and I am confident that together we can reach this goal,» Zverev stated, as reported by L’Equipe.
