YouTube и Deezer запускают новую эру борьбы с ИИ-контентом Translation: YouTube and Deezer Launch a New Era in the Fight Against AI Content

YouTube has removed a number of channels featuring AI-generated content, including some leading platforms in the space, as reported by The Verge.

Among those affected was CuentosFacianantes, which boasted 5.9 million subscribers and 1.2 billion views. In a report from November, Kapwing identified it as the most popular channel for AI-generated videos.

Another channel taken down was Imperio de Jesus, with an audience of 5.8 million, aimed at «strengthening faith in Jesus through entertaining interactive quizzes.»

A few weeks ago, YouTube CEO Neil Mohan addressed the issue of subpar AI content on the platform. In a letter to users, he outlined the company’s plans to reduce its spread, leveraging the same system used to combat spam and clickbait.

In total, YouTube has deleted or cleaned up content from an additional 16 channels, including Héroes de Fantasía and Super Cat League. The description of the latter offers insight into the creator’s approach:

«Welcome to [insert channel name] — the world’s best AI cinema for cats! 🐾✨ In 2026, we are redefining digital storytelling. We blend the grace of cats with the power of cutting-edge generative AI to create hyper-realistic, emotional, and viral adventures like you’ve never seen. From heart-wrenching sagas of ‘From Rags to Riches’ to epic journeys of feline heroes — our channel is where advanced technology meets the spirit of the cat.»

These channels each had more than 2 million subscribers.

Last year, YouTube initiated a crackdown on «inauthentic» content, eliminating accounts that hosted fake AI movie trailers.

Music streaming service Deezer has also intensified its oversight. In January 2025, the company began tagging tracks generated by neural networks and has now opened up commercial access to its detection tool.

Last year, Deezer tagged over 13.4 million AI-generated tracks. Approximately 60,000 such tracks are uploaded daily to the service, constituting 39% of the total volume. Up to 85% of these pieces are flagged as fraudulent, leading to their demonetization and removal from royalty pools.

«Until now, Deezer was the only music streaming platform that clearly marked and removed AI-generated music from recommendations. This measure is aimed at preventing royalty theft from real artists,» stated the announcement.

The company announced it has commenced sales of its AI detection technology.

«We have already conducted successful tests with industry leaders. […] From this point forward, we will license the product to make it available to anyone interested,» emphasized CEO Alexis Lanthier.

To remind, in July 2024, YouTube Music and Deezer joined Spotify and Amazon Music in the race to integrate new AI services.
