Yandex Go Introduces Seamless Top-Up for Troika Transport Cards

The company Yandex has announced a new feature in the Yandex Go app that allows users to link and top up their Troika transport card. Users can now add funds to their transport cards directly through the app, eliminating the need for terminals or ticket offices. To set up the card, one must navigate to the «Transport» section and enter the 10-digit Troika card number. Once added, the card will be saved in the user’s account, and the balance will always be visible. Funds can be added using any card linked to Yandex services.

The transaction process takes only a few seconds. After refilling, users must tap their card on the turnstile or validator for the amount to be recorded, making the card ready for use. Users will be able to monitor their balance and top up their cards in advance. In the future, the Yandex Go app will enable users to purchase subscriptions and manage multiple cards, including virtual ones.

This integration has been developed in collaboration with SberTroika. Since its launch in 2013, 53 million Troika cards have been issued, accounting for roughly 80% of metro trips. Moreover, 71% of users are already replenishing their cards online.

Top-up functionalities are included alongside other features in Yandex Go. Within the «Transport» section, users can also plan trips and track vehicle movements. In June 2025, a new «Hub» section was introduced in the app, allowing consumers to compare routes across different transport methods, including public transit, taxis, carsharing, and scooters.
