Wolff Questions Antonellis Fault in Verstappen Collision

The team principal of Mercedes, **Toto Wolff**, commented on the incident involving Italian driver **Andrea Kimi Antonelli** and Red Bull racer **Max Verstappen**.

«Errors like this happen. The wheels were locked up. I’m not entirely sure whether it was Kimi’s fault or a system malfunction. I haven’t seen any data or heard anything since we were clearly focused on the race. But such things do occur. Unfortunately for Max and Red Bull, Kimi collided with him.

He came into the pits and I told him it wasn’t a great move. He understood that as well. However, in our sport, mistakes are allowed. It’s unfortunate that Max had to retire and we lost another car due to that crash… But this can happen to both inexperienced and seasoned drivers. It’s simply a part of Formula 1,» Wolff’s remarks were reported by GPBlog.
