Warhorse Begins Testing of Hardcore Mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Recently, developers from the Czech studio Warhorse have selected a hundred volunteers to participate in the testing phase of the hardcore mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

The tests will commence next week and will continue until the end of March. Unfortunately, participants are prohibited from recording gameplay or sharing screenshots of the pre-release version. The hardcore mode is set to be officially integrated into the game in the spring, coinciding with the release of a free update. This spring patch will also introduce a host of new content, including horseback riding and additional hairstyle options for the protagonist.

According to the latest roadmap, after the patch release, the developers will shift their focus to creating three full-fledged DLCs, which are scheduled to launch in the summer, autumn, and winter, respectively. Each expansion will feature new quests, such as assisting a deranged artist, restoring a forge in Kutná Hora, and investigating an epidemic at a nearby monastery.

All DLC content will be included in the Expansion Pass that comes with the gold edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. For now, fans can only enjoy the base game, which has already garnered over 40,000 «very positive» reviews on Steam—a commendable 92%.
