Vladimir Cohen: AI Surpasses Humans in the Art World

**Vladimir Cohen (V.C.):** I found this market truly captivating as an alternative to traditional finance—a technological avenue where transactions are swift and transparent, allowing you to monitor and manage them yourself. It’s the concept of decentralization, immediate payments, and low fees that drew me into cryptocurrency. And, of course, the venture capital aspect is also a factor.

**FL: What’s the biggest mistake you’ve made during your time in the crypto market?**

**V.C.:** My short position on Waves stands out. I started shorting it at $8, and by the time it hit $58, my position had ballooned significantly.

**FL: On July 18, XRP hit its all-time high. Do you think the growth will continue?**

**V.C.:** It’s a manipulated asset; it lacks any economic foundation. I’m convinced that those buying at these peaks will regret it. The developers hold a significant amount of Bitcoin, which they use to pump XRP’s price. It’s essential to realize that nearly 50% of XRP is under their control, and they can release it at any time.

**FL: What recent scientific breakthroughs have impressed you the most?**

**V.C.:** Primarily, the advancements in stem cells, tissue regeneration, and organ cultivation are striking. There’s been exciting news about the discovery of the Hand2 gene in humans, which is known for its regenerative properties.

**FL: What are your thoughts on brain chip implants?**

**V.C.:** This field will continue to evolve. I don’t have moral objections to intervening in brain functions, though there’s a latent risk of manipulating individuals.

**FL: What does biohacking mean to you?**

**V.C.:** I’ve been involved in biohacking since my early student years. For starters, I’ve practiced yoga since I was 16 and have experimented with various forms of fasting, with my maximum being one week. It feels tough, but it’s beneficial. Since around the fourth grade, I’ve been limiting myself to just four or five hours of sleep per night.

**FL: Can artificial intelligence create art?**

**V.C.:** It’s a remarkable shift in expectations and understanding. We previously thought robots would handle mundane tasks, allowing us to focus on creativity. However, what AI is currently producing in the realm of visual art is on a completely different level. Contemporary art reminds me of the crypto industry—it’s rife with hype, marketing, and the sale of worthless items at exorbitant prices.
