ViaBTC Introduces Dogecoin Support for Crypto Loan Services with Reduced Interest Rates

The mining pool service of ViaBTC has introduced support for Dogecoin (DOGE) as a collateral asset, lowering interest rates to 0.025% per day. This update was announced in a blog post from the platform.

This revamped service is particularly relevant for miners who frequently need to cover operational costs—such as electricity bills, rent for facilities, and equipment maintenance. Instead of selling their cryptocurrency during unfavorable market conditions, users can now pledge part of their assets and access the liquidity they need.

«We have taken into account the needs of miners and the feedback from the community in developing this update. Now, instant loans in USDT can be secured against Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and Dogecoin (DOGE) without going through the KYC process,» representatives from ViaBTC stated.

Additionally, the team has reduced the interest rate to 0.025% per day. These new terms apply to all loans initiated after the update.

To obtain a loan, users simply need to transfer DOGE to a designated collateral account, and the equivalent amount in USDT will instantly be available in their credit balance. Meanwhile, the pledged assets remain the property of the client and serve solely as temporary collateral.

Users can access the updated service on the ViaBTC website in the cryptocurrency loan section.

«A detailed guide will help users quickly understand the process. If there are any questions, our help center and support team are available,» the representatives added.

ViaBTC has been operating as a mining pool since 2016. In the merged mining segment of Litecoin and Dogecoin, this pool holds the top position globally with a 32% share of the total hash rate.

As of June 2025, ViaBTC serves around 1.7 million users and controls over 12% of Bitcoin’s hash rate, placing it among the top three largest mining pools.

Earlier, due to another recalculation, the difficulty of mining the leading cryptocurrency increased by 4.38% to a record high of 126.98 TH.
