Verstappen Reflects on Sprint Qualifyings Second Place: Weve Achieved Our Maximum

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen provided his thoughts on securing second place in the sprint qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.

«Achieving second place between the McLarens is a solid result for us. I think we maximized our performance. I really enjoyed it. The lap was good. Of course, the gap is significant, but it was already large since practice, so it wasn’t a surprise. We just need to focus on ourselves, work on the car’s balance, and strive to go faster.

When you’re trailing by almost half a second, I don’t believe straight-line speed plays a major role. We simply need to run our race and see what we can achieve,” Verstappen stated, according to Sky Sports.

As a reminder, the pole position for the sprint qualifying was claimed by McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, with his teammate Lando Norris securing third place.
