Unveiling the Nightmarish Mode of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP: What to Expect

A month ago, **Dragami Games** [announced](https://stopgame.ru/newsdata/65798/dlya_lollipop_chainsaw_repop_anonsirovali_novyy_koshmarnyy_rezhim) an enigmatic «Nightmare Mode» for the remastered version of [Lollipop Chainsaw](https://stopgame.ru/game/lollipop_chainsaw_repop). Now the developers have [shared more details](https://x.com/Dragami_Games/status/1902510543703044310) about it.

This «Nightmare Mode» will unlock after players achieve a good ending in either the original game or the RePOP version. In this new playthrough, Juliet will step into the shoes of the legendary zombie hunter. The setting remains the San Romero High School, but the environment will take on a darker tone reflective of the heroine’s nightmares. Players will progress through the game level by level, which remains unchanged.

While the story and dialogues in «Nightmare Mode» will not be altered, all zombies will now have names. Additionally, the balance and behavior of enemies termed «Voices of Darkness» have been refined to make them more formidable adversaries.

In this darker rendition of the tale, Juliet can acquire several items that unleash her hidden abilities, totaling eight. For instance, a special chainsaw engine allows for quicker swings, while winged sneakers enhance the cheerleader’s movement speed. Collecting all power-ups will enable the hunter to fully unleash her potential, allowing for high-speed acrobatic attacks at an entirely new level.

At the beginning, the heroine will be equipped with an armband that boosts attack speed and powerful dumbbells that increase her strike power. Everything else can be found in the in-game shop. The developers noted that clearing the sixth level will grant players a unique skill called «Aura of Legend,» which enlarges the chainsaw and enhances its striking range.

All awakened abilities will be transferable to other modes. Players can activate them at their discretion in the settings, except for a few exceptions.

The «Nightmare Mode» will arrive in **Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP** this April. The game is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, but it does not support the Russian language.
