Tether интегрирует USDT в биткоин через инновационный протокол RGB Translation: Tether Integrates USDT into Bitcoin via Innovative RGB Protocol

Tether has announced the integration of support for USDT on the RGB protocol, which facilitates the issuance of digital assets within the Bitcoin network.

Users will be able to store and transfer the «stablecoin» alongside Bitcoin in a single wallet, as well as send and receive funds offline.

«Bitcoin deserves a stablecoin that is truly native, lightweight, private, and scalable,» stated Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.

Currently, USDT is accessible across 20 networks, including Ethereum, TRON, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche.

The RGB mainnet was launched this year, enabling the creation and management of assets within the networks of digital gold and the Lightning Network.

Following the launch, the RGB association was formed, comprising members like Bitfinex, Fulgur Ventures, Plan B Network, Boosty Labs, Kaleidoswap, ThunderStack, Bitcoin Tribe, and LNFI. This organization is tasked with coordinating, promoting, and developing the project.

As a reminder, starting from September 1, Tether will discontinue support for Algorand, Bitcoin Cash SLP, EOS, Kusama, and Omni Layer.
