Struggling Start: Rostov Faces Three Consecutive Losses in RPL Season Opener

The football club «Rostov» faced a defeat in their third round match of the Russian Premier League against «Krylia Sovetov,» losing 1-4. Consequently, the team coached by Jonathan Albay has lost all three of their opening matches in the current season of the Russian championship. In the first round, the yellow-blues fell to Zenit from St. Petersburg (1-2), and in the second round, they lost to Dynamo Moscow (0-1).

Following this game, Rostov sits in 14th place in the RPL standings, having yet to earn a single point this season. On the other hand, Samara’s Krylia Sovetov, with seven points from three matches, currently holds the top position.

It is noteworthy that the team has undergone significant changes this summer, losing their former head coach Valery Karpin along with several key players.
