The developers emphasized that obtaining these rights does not signify a complete severing of ties with **Plaion**. It is reported that this move «will lay the groundwork for a long-term partnership between **Starbreeze** and **Plaion** on future projects within the **Payday** franchise.» The deal will take effect on May 15.
