Spotify Unveils Subscription Feed for Podcasts in Mobile App

The mobile application of the streaming service Spotify has introduced several new podcast-focused features. One of these is the Following feed, which displays all the latest episodes from the podcasts a user is subscribed to. Listeners can switch between the Podcasts and Following sections seamlessly.

Additionally, Spotify has expanded its podcast recommendations within the app’s home feed. These suggestions now appear as users scroll down the feed, accompanied by brief notes explaining why specific shows are recommended.

The app has also rolled out new features for podcast creators. Authors will now be able to reference content mentioned in their episodes that is also available on Spotify. The «In this episode» section is set to launch in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, Spotify has enhanced the interaction between creators and their audience through discussion threads and reactions. This process can be managed via the Spotify for Creators account, which offers options to customize comment display settings or to disable them entirely for entire shows or specific podcasts.
