Sonic Labs объявляет о новой стратегии токеномики и расширении на рынок США Sonic Labs announces a new tokenomics strategy and expansion into the U.S. market.

Mitchell Demeter, head of Sonic Labs, announced that the company will shift its focus from «hype» to fundamental metrics, revamp its tokenomics to create a deflationary mechanism, and enhance its business development in the United States.

Details about the project’s new strategy emerged on August 31.

Demeter took on the CEO position in October. According to him, the first month was spent analyzing the company’s operations, and now the team is ready to implement the plan.

He emphasized that Sonic Labs has a «healthy treasury reserve and no liquidity issues.» However, the CEO acknowledged that communication with the community has slowed recently, explaining that it was important to first understand the processes before reporting results.

«Price reflects confidence. It indicates how well we are performing and how much trust the market has in us. Validators, developers, token holders, and we at Sonic Labs all care about the value,» Demeter stated.

He pointed out that «Sonic Labs is an infrastructure provider, not a venture fund or an application development studio.» The company’s success is directly linked to the increase in network activity and the achievements of developers using its technology.

Demeter noted that «the race for speed and TPS is over.» The focus will now shift to functionality, developer convenience, and compatibility with other networks through the implementation of EIPs and their own SIPs.

The primary alteration will be a reevaluation of tokenomics. The company will introduce a new fee monetization structure (FeeM) that includes reward tiers for developers ranging from 15% to 90%.

Ten percent of the network fees will be allocated to validators, while the remaining portion will be burned to create deflationary pressure on the native token S. The specifics will be put to an on-chain vote.

At the time of writing, S is trading at $0.15, with a 3.8% growth over the past day.

Sonic Labs will also boost its presence in the U.S. and plans to establish an office in New York. The company is currently hiring personnel for its marketing, sales, and business development departments to attract institutional clients.

Demeter added that he is engaged in «active negotiations with leading global firms» regarding ETFs and other initiatives.

It is worth noting that in March, former CEO Andre Cronje announced that instead of a dollar-pegged algorithmic stablecoin, the developers at Sonic Labs plan to launch a «mathematically capped numeric dirham.»
