Solo Miner Hits Jackpot with $372,773 Following Bitcoin Block Discovery

On the night of July 27, a solo miner successfully mined block #907,283 in the Bitcoin network, earning a reward of 3.154 BTC (approximately $372,773) from both block rewards and transaction fees.

The miner utilized the CKpool platform. According to mempool.space, the block included 4,090 transactions.

CKpool administrator Con Kolivas noted that the miner achieved this on equipment with a hashrate of 49 TH/s. The odds of such an event happening are roughly 1 in 130,000 per day.

Despite the mining difficulty reaching record highs, solo miners occasionally manage to mine blocks. On June 5, a solo participant mined block #899,826, receiving a reward of 3.151 BTC ($330,386 at that time).

Additionally, on July 4, another user earned 3.173 BTC ($348,948) for confirming block #903,883.

It is worth noting that on July 26, as part of the latest recalibration, the mining difficulty of Bitcoin increased by 1.07%, reaching a new high of 127.62 TH.
