Semshov: While Krasnodar Could Win the RPL Again, They Still Have a Long Way to Go to Reach Zenits Dynasty

The former midfielder of the Russian national team, **[Igor Semshov](#)**, shared his thoughts on FC Krasnodar’s chances of defending their title as the best team in the Russian Premier League for the 2025/2026 season.

«Krasnodar has the potential to win the championship multiple times in a row, but Zenit managed to achieve that six times consecutively! So, Krasnodar still has a long way to go before reaching the ‘dynasty’ level of the St. Petersburg club. However, replicating last season’s success would be quite impressive. We often say that anyone can win the championship, but not everyone can solidify that success,» Semshov’s comments were reported by «Komsomolskaya Pravda.»

In the 2024/2025 season, Krasnodar claimed their first-ever RPL title, ending Zenit’s streak of five consecutive championships. The «Bulls» accumulated 67 points over 30 matches, finishing just one point ahead of Zenit.
