A member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame committee, Aleksey Selivanenko, praised the 2025 Roland Garros final between Italian Jannik Sinner and Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz triumphed with a score of 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (10-2).

“It was a fantastic and dramatic final that will go down in history. The level of tennis played was phenomenal at incredible speeds. Carlos and Jannik exhibited exceptional skill and spirit. It stands as one of the most beautiful finals at Roland Garros,” Selivanenko remarked in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.

This match marked the first time Alcaraz and Sinner faced each other in a Grand Slam final. Notably, Sinner was leading 2-0 in sets and had a triple match point during the third set while serving against Alcaraz.
