Russian and Indian Firms Launch Collaborative Pilot Project Utilizing Aurora OS in India

The company «Open Mobile Platform» (OMP) has launched its first international initiative to implement the Russian operating system «Aurora.» The pilot project will take place in India and involves government and corporate clients. The project’s partner is the Indian firm Foreseer AI. The agreement was facilitated by the Indo-Russian Technology Hub in Delhi. Other participants in the project include Innopraktika Russia, BharRosa, and the Russoft Association.

Foreseer AI is an Indian company that focuses on developing computer vision solutions for various industries. It creates machine vision systems for defect detection, equipment failure prediction, and analysis of production parameter deviations. Their solutions are used in automated quality control, maintenance, and process optimization in sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, with the aim of reducing costs and enhancing operational stability.

The objective of the joint project between Foreseer AI and OMP is to reduce dependence on foreign technologies in BRICS countries. Currently, Indian organizations are assessing the compliance of the «Aurora» operating system with data protection and localization standards. According to Pavel Eiges, the CEO of Open Mobile Platform, the project will demonstrate how «Aurora» meets India’s requirements. Eiges emphasized that the Russian mobile operating system can be adapted to different devices and scenarios.

Chandrakumar Chettiar, the director of Foreseer AI, stated that smartphone operating systems are a matter of national security. He emphasized that «Aurora» could become the most secure system for India.
