RPL President Alaev Expresses Discontent with Refereeing in Playoff Matches Involving Akhmat and Ural

President of the Russian Premier League, **Alexander Alaev**, expressed his dissatisfaction with the officiating in the playoff matches between Akhmat and Ural. The two-legged tie ended with Akhmat emerging victorious, thereby securing their place in the RPL.

«You won’t get me to discuss the refereeing (smiles). I was not pleased with the officiating in these matches,» Alaev’s remarks were conveyed by Championat’s correspondent, Ilya Nikulnikov.

As a reminder, Orenburg and Fakel were directly relegated from the RPL for the 2024/2025 season. Pari Nizhny Novgorod lost in the playoff matches against Sochi. Last season, FC Krasnodar was crowned the national champion, with Zenit St. Petersburg finishing in second place. In the First League, Baltika claimed the title, while Torpedo took the runner-up position.
