Release of Wireshark 4.4.7: Enhancements and Bug Fixes for a Powerful Network Analyzer

In early June 2025, a stable release of the free open-source network protocol analyzer Wireshark 4.4.7 was made available. The initial release of the 4.4 branch of this open project took place in August 2024. The first stable version, Wireshark 1.0.0, was introduced in 2008. The project’s source code is distributed under the standard GPLv2 public license.

In version 4.4.7, the developers addressed bugs and vulnerabilities identified during testing and made various enhancements and additions to the project’s code, including updates to protocol support.

The network tool features improved input and output data charts, VoIP call and stream graphics, TCP stream visuals, as well as other user interfaces and dialogue boxes.

Wireshark 4.4.7 includes updated support for protocols such as AT, BT LE LL, CIGI, genl, LDAP, LIN, Logcat Text, net_dm, netfilter, nvme, SSH, TCPCL, TLS, WebSocket, and ZigBee, including ZigBee ZCL.

Builds of Wireshark 4.4.7 are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
