Release of GCC 14.3: Key Improvements and Bug Fixes in the Free Compiler Collection

A stable release of the free compiler collection GCC 14.3 has been launched. As per the project’s version numbering scheme, the development of GCC 14.0 commenced in April 2023. The previous stable release, GCC 14.1, occurred in May 2024. Additionally, the work on GCC 15.0 started in April 2024, and a significant release, GCC 15.1, has already been formed based on it.

The main updates and improvements in GCC 14.3 involve bug fixes for the GCC 14 branch, addressing critical regressions and bugs from GCC 14.2. Since the last stable release in the GCC 14 branch, the developers have introduced 211 patches to the project’s codebase. The changes have impacted 57 files within the solution.
