RedMagic Unveils the Tablet 3 Pro: A Gaming Tablet with Active Cooling and Impressive Specs

Chinese company RedMagic has unveiled its gaming tablet, the Tablet 3 Pro, featuring active cooling. The device comes equipped with a 9.06-inch OLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Initially, it will be available in China before expanding to other markets.

The tablet boasts a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a peak brightness of 1100 nits. Additionally, it employs PWM dimming at a frequency of 5280 Hz to help reduce eye strain.

In addition to Qualcomm’s processor, the Tablet 3 Pro includes the RedCore R3 Pro gaming coprocessor, offering options of either 12 or 24 GB of LPDDR5T RAM, and internal storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB using UFS 4.1 Pro. Cooling is managed by the ICE-X system, which uses composite liquid metal along with a fan featuring RGB lighting.

The device houses an 8200 mAh battery, providing approximately 5.5 hours of gaming time. With 80W wired charging, it can restore half of the battery’s power in just 20 minutes.

RedMagic has equipped the Tablet 3 Pro with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that supports video output to external displays at resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz.

This tablet is capable of running Minecraft at 165 fps, League of Legends: Wild Rift at 144 fps, and can handle Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Genshin Impact at 120 fps. It comes preloaded with a PC emulator that allows the execution of games like Tomb Raider at 60 fps. RedMagic also offers the RedMagic Shadow Blade Gamepad 3 controller for the tablet.

The price for the Tablet 3 Pro ranges from $556 to $835 depending on the configuration. The RedMagic brand was established in 2018 as a sub-brand of Nubia Technology, a subsidiary of ZTE.
