In comparison, the first trailer garnered only 93 million views during the same timeframe, which at the time made it the most popular non-music video on YouTube.

Speaking of music, the trailer’s success has led to a significant surge in popularity for the tracks featured in it—specifically, the song «Hot Together» by The Pointer Sisters saw an astronomical increase of 182,000 percent in streams on Spotify. According to Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s editorial head, “‎Grand Theft Auto sweeps through pop culture like nothing else. The music has been intricately linked to this franchise from the start, so it’s great to see both new and longtime fans connecting with this iconic track.
