Raydium Launches Token Creation Platform to Compete with New Rivals

The decentralized exchange Raydium has introduced its recently announced LaunchLab platform for launching tokens, which was first revealed in March.

According to the developers, the platform allows for effortless and free creation of Solana tokens. Users can utilize a simplified JustSendIt mode instead of coding, as well as the option to customize settings within the LaunchLab environment.

Once the token’s curved price-supply relationship reaches a specified threshold (85 SOL in JustSendIt mode), liquidity is automatically transferred to the Raydium pool.

Creators can also benefit from earning 10% of trading fees.

In February, the «meme coin factory» Pump.fun began beta testing AMM functionality on its platform, emerging as a competitor to Raydium. This announcement nearly caused a 30% drop in the value of the RAY token from the decentralized exchange.

Following the launch announcement of LaunchLab as a response to new competitors, the token experienced an increase of over 11% in just one day. After the platform’s launch, the price of RAY surged more than 14% in a few hours, rising from $2.11 to $2.41.

As of the time of writing, the token is trading around $2.35, with a market capitalization of $681.90 million.

It’s worth noting that on CoinGecko, meme coins were identified as the most prominent narrative in the cryptocurrency market for the first quarter of 2025.
