Overcoming Obstacles and Climbing Everest: 4000 Participants Gear Up for the ‘Heros Race’

On July 12, the traditional obstacle course race «Hero’s Race» will take place at the Alabino training ground in the Moscow region, with over 4,000 participants expected to compete.

Competitors will face an eight-kilometer course featuring 32 obstacles of varying difficulty levels. The course will include classic challenges such as monkey bars, fences, cargo carries, ditches, and barriers made of water and mud. To reach the finish line, participants will also need to crawl under barbed wire, conquer a log barrier, and maneuver through openings between tires. The highlight of the race will once again be the ascent of the «Everest» — an eight-meter steep slope equipped with ropes.

In addition, a corporate banking championship will be held, with more than 24 teams from major Russian banks. Notable participants include Absolut Bank, Novikom Bank, Ingosstrakh Bank, Sberbank, Alfa Bank, PSB, and others.

Also, the team of Dmitry Trunenkov, the European bobsleigh champion and multi-time medalist in international championships, who participated in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, will compete.

The «Hero’s Race» will traditionally be held in both individual and team formats, with over 120 teams taking part.

Moreover, the organizers have prepared an exciting program featuring various sports activities, from volleyball to tennis, contests and giveaways from partners, challenges on the OCR course, outdoor cooking, and even a mobile sauna with steam sessions.

Anyone over the age of 18 can join the race, either individually in a mass start or as a part of a team of 10, accompanied by a professional instructor.
