Okko Launches Unique Studio for Champions League Final with Football Legends Materazzi and Pires

For the first time in the history of Russian sports broadcasting, an online cinema platform will launch a remote studio in the city hosting the Champions League final. Joining the broadcast from Munich will be football legends Marco Materazzi, Robert Pires, and Diego Lugano, along with experts including Yuri Semin and Nobel Arustamyan.

The Champions League final is set to take place on May 31. The Okko studio will go live daily from May 26 at 8:00 PM Moscow time. Hosts for the program will include Maria Mylnikova, Darya Isaeva, Vladislav Prusov, and Kirill Pupchev. Additionally, commentators Vladimir Stognienko and Roman Guttsait will provide insights during the crucial match between PSG and Inter.

The service plans to release exclusive additional content leading up to the final. Okko viewers will be able to watch player arrivals at the stadium, analytical shows, and interviews. Previously, Okko commentators revoiced all Champions League finals over the past 35 years, with archived matches from the premier European club tournament already being made available in chronological order. Furthermore, the online cinema platform has launched an original show called “Futlor,” where experts will select the best player, club, and final from the last 25 years.

On May 31, alongside the remote media center, a Moscow studio will operate with host Denis Alkhazov and guests Sergey Ignashevich and Dmitry Cheltzov.

Roman Guttsait, the deputy head of Okko’s sports editorial team, emphasized the service’s commitment to providing comprehensive coverage of the final:

“This isn’t just a match; it’s a cultural and sporting event. For the first time, Okko will cover the final for an entire week from a unique studio with top-tier experts right from the heart of the host city. No other Russian broadcasters have produced such a volume of quality exclusive content surrounding the Champions League final.”
