New Video Game Publishing House Launches in Yakutia with Global Ambitions

In Yakutia, an international video game publishing house named «New Game+» has been launched, as reported by the Yakutia Innovation Development Fund. This publishing house aims to release games not only for Russia but also for global platforms. The announcement was made during the Creative Industries Forum «Created in the Far East» held in the capital of Yakutia.

The games are being developed within the framework of a collaborative acceleration program between the Fund and Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub, with teams from Yakutia actively working on the projects.

The first project is titled «Hara Myraan.» It is a folk horror game for ages 16 and up, reminiscent of Resident Evil, featuring Yakut aesthetic and an atmosphere reminiscent of the 2000s. The protagonist is a former criminal who battles ancient evil while exploring unique locations.

The second project, «Spring Legacy,» is an adventure puzzle game inspired by the game Journey. The story follows a survivor from a tribe who encounters a mysterious girl. Through murals, players learn about the world of spirits, solving logical puzzles to progress through the game.

Both titles are being developed on Unreal Engine 5, with their releases scheduled for January-February 2026 across all major platforms.

Previously, the President of Russia instructed to support video game developers, including attracting private funding. The Internet Development Institute has been tasked with addressing this matter.
