New Release of Screen Recording Tool ScreenToGif 2.41.5: Enhanced Language Support and Bug Fixes

On July 21, 2025, the lightweight open-source screen recording tool, [ScreenToGif 2.41.5](https://github.com/NickeManarin/ScreenToGif/releases/tag/2.41.5), was released. This solution is compatible with Windows 10 and 11. The project’s source code, written in C#, is available on GitHub under the Microsoft Public License. ScreenToGif has been under development for more than a decade, with version 2.40 being released in December 2023.

ScreenToGif allows users to capture a selected area of the screen, live stream from a webcam, or draw on a tablet. After recording, the animation can be edited and saved in various formats such as GIF, APNG, PSD, or PNG, in addition to video files. Users can enhance their recordings by adding text, subtitles, caption frames, borders, watermarks, and drawings.

What’s new in ScreenToGif 2.41.5:

— When selecting certain East Asian languages, the application switches to fonts that better support those languages;
— Arabic language support has been added (for the installer);
— A bug has been fixed that prevented Windows 10 users from launching the application due to compatibility issues with its dependencies.
