New Microsoft Apps for Windows 11 Revolutionize Contact and File Search

In 2024, Microsoft introduced two new applications for Windows 11: People and File Search. The company has now officially announced their release. These applications are designed to make it easier for users to find files and contacts.

**People** is an app aimed at organizing contacts and providing information about them. It enables users to access their contacts, search for individuals by their roles, departments, locations, and projects, and send quick messages via Teams.

**File Search** allows users to locate recently accessed files, search for documents based on their content, filter by file type, and more, including the ability to preview files.

Both People and File Search are available to participants of the Microsoft 365 Insider program who have a Microsoft 365 Enterprise or Business Edition subscription and the desktop version of Microsoft 365 installed.
