New Gameplay Trailer for Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Features the Agile Kumori

The creators of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound have released a new gameplay trailer focusing on one of the playable heroes. This time, the spotlight is on Kumori from the infamous Black Spider clan. The heroine disregards the traditional ninja code and actively employs modern weaponry alongside demonic powers.

It’s important to note that the development of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is being handled by the Spanish studio The Game Kitchen, renowned for the Metroidvania duo Blasphemous. The game’s narrative unfolds alongside the storyline of the original Ninja Gaiden. The long-standing protagonist of the series, Ryu Hayabusa, has left his village and journeyed to America to seek revenge for his father’s death. Meanwhile, the barrier separating the realms of humans and demons starts to collapse, unleashing a horrifying army of darkness upon Ryu’s homeland. In Ryu’s absence, a young ninja named Kenji Mozo from the Hayabusa clan steps up to confront the crisis.

Throughout the game, Kenji’s path intertwines with Kumori’s, and the two heroes must set aside their clan rivalries to ensure their survival. The trailer showcases how the characters intertwine their essences using forbidden powers. As players progress, they will have the ability to switch between the protagonists and utilize their distinct skills in varying scenarios.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is slated for release this summer on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The exact release date has yet to be announced.
