NBA Champion Accused of Sexual Assault from 38 Years Ago

A former player and ex-coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as a three-time NBA champion, Byron Scott is facing allegations of sexual assault against a minor, which reportedly took place in 1987.

Hailey Dylan, now 53, claims that when she was 15 years old, she was sexually assaulted by the well-known basketball player. Scott has acknowledged the interaction but insists he was unaware of her young age at the time.

«My client is devastated by this allegation regarding an incident that occurred in 1987. He believed the plaintiff was over 18 and never suspected she would assert otherwise after 35 years. He holds women and girls in high regard, and these accusations have shocked both him and his family,» said Scott’s attorney to Eurohoops.
