Monad анонсирует запуск мейннета и токена MON с аирдропом для активных пользователей Monad announces mainnet and MON token launch with airdrop for active users

The launch of the mainnet for the EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain Monad, along with its native token MON, is set for November 24.

An airdrop for early users is anticipated to coincide with the launch. Tokens will be distributed to 225,000 users who have passed the sybil check. The portal for minting MON opened in mid-October.

The recipients include active community members, traders with significant trading volumes on DEX platforms like Hyperliquid, long-term holders of certain NFT collections, contributors, and developers.

Members of the Monad Foundation and employees of Category Labs will not partake in the distribution.

The official tokenomics for MON has not yet been released. However, perpetual pre-market contracts for the token are already available on Hyperliquid, with the current price at $0.05 and a daily trading volume of $4.3 million. Open interest has reached $10.6 million.

The project was launched in 2022 as a competitor to Solana and Ethereum, raising over $240 million through two funding rounds.

The Monad team launched a public testnet in February 2025, claiming high network throughput of up to 10,000 transactions per second and a block processing time of one second.

It is worth noting that in July, the Monad Foundation acquired Portal Labs, the company responsible for developing the infrastructure platform for stablecoins called Portal.
