Islam Makhachev Responds to Jack Della Maddalenas Challenge

The UFC lightweight champion from Russia, **Islam Makhachev**, has responded to a challenge from the newly crowned UFC welterweight champion, Australian **Jack Della Maddalena**.

“You’re not a Wolf, and I will show you a completely different level. Keep an eye on my belt and make sure it stays clean,” Makhachev wrote on his social media.

For context, Della Maddalena won a unanimous decision against former champion Belal Muhammad, claiming the title in the main event of UFC 315, which took place from May 10 to May 11 in Montreal, Canada. Immediately after the fight, Maddalena expressed his desire to face Makhachev in the octagon.
