Iga Swiatek Matches Serena Williams’ Record with 26th Consecutive Win at Roland Garros

The fifth-ranked player in the world, Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek, has celebrated her 26th consecutive victory at the French Open. She has equaled the record for the longest winning streak in women’s singles at Grand Slam tournaments in the current century. With this achievement, Swiatek matches the record set by American Serena Williams, who enjoyed a 26-match winning streak at the U.S. Open from 2012 to 2015.

On June 3rd, Iga Swiatek triumphed over Ukrainian player Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros, winning with a score of 6-1, 7-5.

In the upcoming semifinal at the French Open, Swiatek will face the world number one, Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus.
