Headline: Резкий вывод капитала: ранние инвесторы Ethereum выводят $45 млн на биржи Translation: Capital Outflow Surge: Early Ethereum Investors Withdraw $45 Million to Exchanges

In the past week, participants of the 2014 Ethereum ICO transferred coins amounting to a total of $45 million, as noted by analysts from Lookonchain and Onchain Lens.

On August 16, a whale with the address 0x61b9 made a transfer of 334.7 ETH (~$1.5 million) to a new wallet for the first time in nine years. The investor acquired these assets for $104 back in 2014, resulting in an impressive return of 14,269 times the original investment.

On August 18, another early backer moved 4460 ETH (~$19 million) to the Kraken exchange. Experts report that in one week, the address 0x815C5 transferred 9803 ETH (~$43.9 million) to trading platforms.

According to Arkham, as of the time of this report, the balance remaining on that address is 197 ETH (~$843,900).

CryptoQuant indicates a significant spike in the inflow of Ethereum to exchanges in mid-August, with daily transfers exceeding 2 million ETH several times, peaking at 2.6 million. In comparison, volumes in July rarely surpassed 1.5 million coins per day.

An anonymous analyst known as XWIN Research Japan suggests that this trend may be influenced by several factors:

In the last 24 hours, the price of Ethereum has dropped by 5.4%, according to CoinGecko. As of the time of writing, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is trading at $4294.

It’s worth noting that on August 13, Ethereum tested the $4700 mark, coming very close to its all-time high. The main driver behind the asset’s growth was the record inflows into ETFs, which reached an unprecedented $2.8 billion in a week.
