From December 19 to 27, cryptocurrency investment products experienced a capital outflow of $446 million, as noted in a report by CoinShares.

Since the market decline on October 10, investors have withdrawn a total of $3.2 billion from funds. Analysts indicated that the sentiment among participants in this market segment has yet to recover.

Year-to-date, the net inflow stands at $46.3 billion, similar to the figure recorded for 2024 ($48.7 billion). However, the total assets under management have only increased by 10%.

The majority of the sell-off originated from the United States, which saw an outflow of $460 million.

A slight decrease was also recorded in Switzerland ($14.2 million). In contrast, Germany bucked the trend, with local investors adding $35.7 million to products, taking advantage of low prices to expand their positions.

In the altcoin sector, a positive trend is emerging.

Leading the charge were products based on XRP and Solana, attracting inflows of $70.2 million and $7.5 million, respectively. Since the launch of targeted ETFs in the United States, these assets have drawn in $1.07 billion and $1.34 billion.

Bitcoin and Ethereum continue to see capital outflows. In one week, $443 million was withdrawn from Bitcoin-based products, while $59.5 million was taken out from Ethereum funds. Since mid-October, the total outflows for these two assets have reached $2.8 billion and $1.6 billion, respectively.

As a reminder, investors withdrew $952 million from cryptocurrency investment products between December 12 and 20.
