Hamilton: The Last Thing We Want Is a Rush for a Formula 1 Sequel

Seven-time world champion, Ferrari driver, and producer of the film «Formula 1,» Lewis Hamilton, shared his thoughts on the production of a sequel.

«If I had known they were planning to make a sequel, I definitely wouldn’t have mentioned it. I’ve heard discussions about it starting, but we just wrapped up working on the project. The last thing we want right now is to jump into a sequel. We spent four years making this film, and it was a monumental effort, especially from Joe Kosinski. He was away from his family and children during that time, so now is the time to pause and savor the moment. The worst thing we could do is rush into creating a sequel.

Most sequels tend to be inferior to the original film. So there’s no need to hurry. We won’t rush this process, and if we decide to make a sequel, we’ll aim to make it even better,» Hamilton’s words were reported by GPBlog.
