Grishin Comments on Kislak: Promising Debuts Don’t Guarantee Future Success in Football

Russian coach Alexander Grishin shared his thoughts on the development of CSKA Moscow midfielder Matvey Kislyak.

«Everyone can see that Kislyak is performing well at CSKA and has become a key player for the team. However, we shouldn’t rush to hype young talents too soon. He hasn’t played that many games yet. A young player might have three or four good matches, and suddenly journalists start saying, ‘He’s the future of our football.’ Let’s wait until Matvey has played two full seasons with CSKA. It’s possible to have a strong first season, like Glushenkov did, but now we don’t see him at Zenit. Kislyak needs to prove his level consistently,» Grishin said in a conversation with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.
