Google Gemini Обгоняет ChatGPT благодаря Вирусному Генератору Изображений Nano Banana Translation: Google Gemini Surpasses ChatGPT Thanks to the Viral Image Generator Nano Banana

The Google Gemini app has ascended to the top of the App Store rankings, displacing ChatGPT for the first time in nearly three years.

The surge in popularity can be attributed to Nano Banana—a proprietary tool for image editing and generation.

This model enables users to upload their own photos and modify elements such as background, clothing, hairstyle, and pose through prompts. A popular use case involves transforming pictures of people or animals into 3D figurines.

Nano Banana has gone viral, sparking a wave of users eager to test the service. Google’s Vice President Josh Woodward announced that the app attracted 23 million new users and generated over 500 million images within just a few days.

The digital figurines resemble collectible models in a 1:7 scale, often displayed on clear acrylic stands. They are frequently positioned next to packaging boxes and computer screens running 3D modeling software.

The artificial intelligence accurately replicates facial features, clothing details, and poses.

Nano Banana marks the third major trend involving AI-generated portraits in 2025. In March, GPT-4o from ChatGPT launched a wave of content in the style of Studio Ghibli.

Then, in April, the Barbie Box challenge emerged, where individuals transformed into plastic dolls in packaging, complete with accessories like miniature laptops and coffee mugs.

Other tools are also available for creating trendy images. Seedream4 from Alibaba, released just days after Google’s model, delivers comparably high-quality results and sometimes even better consistency in complex poses.

Flux Kontext offers an open-source solution with no content restrictions.

It’s worth noting that in August, Google released a series of Pixel 10 smartphones focusing primarily on artificial intelligence technologies.
