Google has announced a worldwide expansion of its AI Mode—a search function that enables users to pose intricate and clarifying questions for a more thorough exploration of topics. Additionally, the tool has been enhanced with agent-based and personalized features.

AI Mode is now available in 180 countries in English, having previously launched in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. Support for additional languages and regions is expected to be added soon.

Regarding the agent-based capabilities, users can now utilize the service for restaurant reservations. Future developments will include local service bookings and event ticket purchases.

AI Mode allows users to create queries based on various preferences such as company size, date, time, location, and preferred cuisine. The tool will analyze real-time availability and suggest suitable options.

“AI Mode will handle all the preparatory work and immediately provide a link to the booking page, allowing you to easily take the final step and confirm your reservation,” the company stated in its announcement.

This feature is being rolled out to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States as part of an experimental initiative called Agentic capabilities in AI Mode.

In the same testing phase, a search function tailored to individual interests is also operational. For instance, a user can input a query like: “I have just an hour, need a quick lunch option, any suggestions?” AI Mode will consider previous conversations, viewed locations in search queries, and Maps to identify appropriate choices.

The AI is capable of aligning with user preferences: if someone enjoys Italian cuisine and venues with outdoor terraces, the service will present relevant options.

Personalization settings can be modified in the options menu.

AI Mode now supports the ability to share search results with other users. This can be advantageous for travel planning, joint celebrations, and more.

It is worth noting that in August, Google launched a series of Pixel 10 smartphones, focusing primarily on artificial intelligence technologies.
