Get Ready for the Epic Journey: Monster Train 2 Launches on May 21

A sequel to the popular card roguelike, Monster Train, is set to release on May 21. It will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.

In Monster Train 2, your adversaries will be titans who have taken over the Heavens. In the face of a common enemy, former angels and demons have formed an alliance. To defeat these titans, you will embark on a train journey through Heaven, Hell, and the Abyss.

The new installment, Monster Train, retains the gameplay mechanics of its predecessor. Battles occur in a train car divided into four floors. Enemy creatures invade from the bottom level and ascend with each turn. The player’s goal is to strategically play cards to summon defenders and use abilities to prevent villains from reaching the Heart of Hell. Its destruction signals the end of the run.

Building on this foundation, the developers from Shiny Shoe have introduced several new features. Notably, five previously unseen clans will each come with their unique strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, there will be new units, regular enemies, bosses, and two types of fresh cards: some will enhance the train, while others will boost fighters.
