Georgia Proposes Blockchain Education for K-12 Students

A resolution has been introduced in the Georgia House of Representatives calling for K-12 students to be educated about blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and Web3.

Democratic representatives urged the Department of Education to «launch an awareness campaign» aimed at students and young learners.

The resolution states that technological literacy is an «essential skill for individuals of all ages.»

The authors emphasized that blockchain technologies represent the «future of online interactions,» and cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, are being «increasingly accepted» as alternatives to traditional currencies. They argue that the internet of the future will be built on Web3 technologies, which promise greater transparency and security, while art has already taken the form of NFTs.

The resolution expresses that «educating children about the potential of these technologies and encouraging their use from an early age will enable them to effectively leverage these tools in the future.»

Additionally, it’s worth noting that in March, California authorities revised a money transfer bill, making amendments to safeguard the rights of cryptocurrency holders.
