FSBR Nominates Denis Tsargush as New Head Coach for Russias Freestyle Wrestling Team

The Executive Committee of the Wrestling Federation of Russia (FWR) will propose the candidacy of **Denis Tsargush** to the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for the position of head coach of the Russian national freestyle wrestling team, announced FWR President **Mikhail Mamiashvili**.

At 37 years old, Tsargush is a bronze medalist from the 2012 London Olympics and a three-time world champion. He currently serves as the senior coach of the Russian national freestyle wrestling team.

«Due to the temporary suspension of Hadzhimurat Gatsalov, the FWR Executive Committee has unanimously recommended Denis Tsargush as the head coach. The necessary documentation will be sent to the Center for Sports Training of Russian National Teams,» Mamiashvili’s words are quoted by the FWR website.

On May 14, the FWR issued an official statement regarding the temporary suspension of Olympic champion Hadzhimurat Gatsalov from his role as head coach of the Russian team following a notification from the International Testing Agency (ITA) regarding alleged violations of anti-doping regulations.
