Finnish Racer Vilander on Alpines Interest in Bottas: No to Half a Season

The 44-year-old Finnish racer, **Toni Vilander**, renowned for his participation in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), has shared his thoughts on the potential addition of his 35-year-old compatriot and reserve driver for the Formula 1 team Mercedes, **Valtteri Bottas**, to the Alpine team.

«I wouldn’t agree to a half-season. There is a significant risk that the car may not suit one’s driving style or demands. It takes numerous weekends to get accustomed to a vehicle, while decisions are already being made. We’ve encountered similar situations that have cost people their careers,» Vilander’s comments were noted by Nextgen-Auto.
