Ethereum Foundation обновляет программу грантов: от реактивного к проактивному подходу Translation: Ethereum Foundation Revamps Grant Program: From Reactive to Proactive Approach

The non-profit organization Ethereum Foundation (EF) has introduced a revamped grant program that features a «proactive approach» to project support.

In August, the organization paused the acceptance of funding applications under its previous initiative, the ESP. This decision was made to reassess their priorities.

«A growing number of applications has drained our resources, limiting our ability to pursue strategic opportunities,» the foundation stated in its announcement about the program’s relaunch.

The updated ESP model aims to address this challenge by shifting from a reactive to a proactive approach, ensuring that funding is directed toward priority areas within the ecosystem. The program is organized into two channels: a «Wishlist» and «Requests for Proposals.»

The first list outlines the general areas where EF identifies «significant gaps and opportunities for progress within the ecosystem.» The second details specific issues and «invites applicants to propose targeted solutions.»

The ESP team has published initial sets of focus areas for both lists.

«They encompass key domains such as cryptography, privacy, applied layers, security, community development, and much more,» EF representatives noted.

Regarding the amounts of funding provided, the organization stated that each case will be evaluated individually. Applicants can include estimated budget assessments in their requests.

As a reminder, in July, EF unveiled its development plan for the next decade.
