Egor Oruzhev Questions Lando Norris Strategy in Overtaking Rivals

Constant expert for «Championat» and winner of the Super Trofeo Lamborghini world final, **Egor Orudzhev**, shared his thoughts on British driver **Lando Norris**’s approach to overtaking opponents following the Bahrain Grand Prix.

«I find it hard to understand his eagerness to try an outside pass when he could have easily set up for a better exit from the corner. On the restart, Norris made things more difficult for himself by going for an inside line, and he was lucky there was space available. However, if you go ‘inside’ someone, you at least have to align yourself at the apex. If that doesn’t happen, you won’t get a good exit out of the corner. As a result, he didn’t have one, and Lewis got back past him.

Then there was that overtake by Hamilton off the track, and you end up spending two laps fighting with Lewis instead of overtaking Leclerc. Eventually, you catch up to Charles and execute an overtake similar to the one you did with Lewis the first time. Luckily, this time it was within track limits. But why always go for the outside when a calm crossover could work better?» – Orudzhev expressed in his column for «Championat.»

Norris finished third in the Bahrain Grand Prix, while his teammate Oscar Piastri took the win.
