Eclipse Labs Prohibits Team from Participating in Upcoming Token Airdrop

The team behind the L2 project Eclipse Labs will not be participating in the upcoming ES token airdrop. The developers aim to prevent insider trading practices that have negatively impacted other launches.

All team members have signed an agreement waiving their right to receive tokens. They provided the addresses of all their wallets, including test wallets, to ensure their exclusion from the airdrop distribution list.

Eclipse stated in their announcement that farming airdrops by teams has become a significant issue.

*»This is a tactic used to obscure the true circulating supply of a token. This will not happen with ES,»* the company asserted.

According to the developers, this approach will guarantee a transparent distribution of tokens from day one and will allocate the entire token pool to real users. The assets belonging to the team and investors will be locked for a year post-listing, after which they will be gradually released over a three-year period.

Founded in 2022, the project launched a rollup network on Ethereum in November 2024, utilizing SVM (Solana Virtual Machine). Its goal is to combine the blockchain security of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap with the speed of Solana.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that activity in the Ink L2 network from Kraken has surged ahead of the airdrop, with daily transaction volumes surpassing 500,000.
