Doodles NFT Project Launches Native Token DOOD and Airdrop Event

On May 9, the NFT project Doodles launched its native token DOOD on the Solana blockchain. At 16:05 (Kyiv/MSK), the much-anticipated distribution of the asset among users commenced.

Several platforms, including Bybit, Bitget, Binance Alpha, and KuCoin, announced their support for DOOD.

As reported by CoinGecko, the Doodles token saw its price drop by approximately 5% to $0.0075 shortly after trading began. Currently, there are 7.8 billion DOOD tokens in circulation out of a total supply of 10 billion.

The tokenomics plan allocates 30% of the total supply to the community, with 17% designated for the team, and 25% set aside for an ecosystem fund.

Alongside the token, the project introduced DreamNet—a decentralized protocol aimed at «story creation» using AI, as stated by The Block. Users will earn DOOD tokens for utilizing their creative work in games and animations on the platform.

The Doodles team also initiated an office survival game called Lord of the Files, featuring a prize pool of 500,000 DOOD.

It’s worth noting that in the first quarter, NFT trading volume dropped by 24% compared to the last quarter of 2024, totaling $1.5 billion. The Doodles collection accounted for $66.5 million, according to DappRadar’s report.
