“I would say that my earliest memories involve playing on the court with my mom and my brother. I remember us practicing together constantly, and I always wanted to beat my brother. My mom used to play professional tennis and coached my brother, so it was natural for me to take up the sport as I watched them train,” Shapovalov shared with Streets of Toronto.

Recently, Shapovalov claimed his fourth career title by winning the tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico, defeating American Alexander Kovacevic in the final with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
