Day-One Patch for Monster Hunter Wilds Requires Additional 15 GB Download

Players who purchase the discs for Monster Hunter Wilds will need to download an additional 15 gigabytes before they can start playing. This information was shared by Capcom, along with a new trailer.

Those who pre-ordered digital copies are more fortunate—they can already download the update. Capcom also announced the release times for Monster Hunter Wilds in different regions: PC players will embark on their monster-hunting adventure on February 28 at 08:00 Moscow time, while their console counterparts will begin slightly earlier at midnight local time.

The latest installment in the series has received high praise from critics, currently sitting at an average of 90 on Metacritic and 89 on OpenCritic. Reviewers note the improvement of nearly all major mechanics from previous titles, while the plot was criticized for its lack of depth.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. A complete localization in Russian is also available.
